Niela Callanan

Hi! I'm Niela and I’m the Lead Event Planner of Urban Allure Events.

First of all, congrats on your engagement! I am a sucker for love stories, so be prepared for me to ask you when we first talk. A little about me is that I grew up in Riverside, IL, right by the Brookfield Zoo (yes, I have been a member for years). I graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign with a Bachelor's in Food Science and Human nutrition with a concentration in Hospitality Management and a Minor in Business. Over the past few years, I have participated in many weddings and corporate events. Growing up so close to the city, I would spend a lot of time looking for upcoming events I could attend. Being detail-oriented is a superpower in event planning, and I am here to ensure no detail goes unnoticed. If I am not planning a wedding, you can find me at one of two places: your local coffee shop holding a cold brew and reading a book, or on a run! I have run and volunteered at the Chicago Marathon and always seek more tips. I love warm weather, so summer is my favorite time of the year. I will be somewhere near the water tanning! I am my best self at social events because I am very chatty and get to meet new people! My new goals, passions, and adventures consistently drive me!
